RIBs moored at a pontoon on a calm bay

Orikum, Albania · Independent proposal

A practical way to grow Albania's marine industry.

A park-and-launch facility for RIBs and small motorboats, built on an existing slipway, with independent local marine businesses working from one shared platform.

01 · The proposal

Three parts working together

1

Park and launch

Land-based storage and professional launching for about 160 RIBs and small motorboats.

2

Independent businesses

Local marine businesses supported by shared administration, marketing, technology and operations.

3

One digital platform

Manages boats, customers, movements, maintenance and business activity.

Park-and-launch is an established operation internationally. What is distinctive here is how the facility, the entrepreneurs and the technology work together. It complements existing marinas and boatyards.

02 · Build on what's already here

A real location. Existing marine infrastructure.

The indicative area is northeast of Marina Orikum, beside an existing slipway where boats have been recovered and stored before.

This is not a marina being built from scratch.

1. Existing waterfront. Boats currently moored within the basin, including vessels in visibly deteriorated condition.
2. Existing marine activity. A second view of boats and waterfront infrastructure at the proposed location.
3. Existing slipway. The established haul-out channel and adjacent working area.
4. Existing recovery equipment. The truck, winch building and boat-recovery trailer show previous boat-handling activity. New, fit-for-purpose equipment would be required.

03 · For boat owners

Two ways to use it

Full-service boating

Book a boat-ready time. The team prepares and launches it to an agreed pontoon. Enjoy your day. Leave it on return for recovery, washdown and storage.

Hands-on boating

Have your boat moved to a safe preparation area. Clean it, check it, work on it or just spend time with it, within site safety rules.

04 · Local entrepreneurs first

You do what you do best. The hub handles the rest.

Engineers, cleaners, brokers, trainers and other specialists keep their own name and customers. The hub provides bookings, marketing, payments and admin.
